NutraScience Labs Donates More Than 1,000 Pounds of Non-Perishable Items to Island Harvest
At NutraScience Labs, we believe in giving back to the community. With the pandemic triggering economic stress, food insecurity has escalated among vulnerable communities. During the 2021 holiday season, we collected and donated 1,080 pounds of non-perishable items to Island Harvest Food Bank, a leading hunger-relief organization that has served the Long Island community for nearly 30 years by providing social service support, hunger awareness, nutrition education, job training, and more.
2021 marked the eighth consecutive year that NutraScience Labs’ employees have helped Long Islanders in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Dating back to 2014, our company has collected and donated over 14,000 pounds of goods to Island Harvest, supplementing more than 900 meals. As a part of the company's culture, NutraScience Labs has previously supported other local and nationally recognized organizations such as the Make A Wish Foundation of Suffolk County, NY, Wounded Warrior Project, and Vitamin Angels.
The official press release contains all the details about NutraScience Labs' collection drive to support the vital work of local organizations to assuage food insecurity through donations. In this press release, Vincent Tricarico, Executive Vice President at NutraScience Labs, talks about the organization's vision and mission to provide hunger relief to vulnerable communities in times of need.
